Working as a visual artist in various fields (development, illustration, animation, storyboard and graphic design) as a long term hired artist and also as a freelance has provided me with:

VISUAL DEVELOPMENT ARTIST for PLANET 51 3D animated feature film.
As a visual development artist I have performed a wide range of functions that allowed me to improve my skills and also gave me a very strong knowledge of the general visual development process of a project:
- Concept, Production and Colour Artist: Locations, sets and props concept and visual development, providing final art including colour, shading studies and supporting documentation to be used by the 3D modelling dept. Character colour and shading studies. Colour keys to be used by the Lighting dept.
- Concept Art and Graphic Design for the film’s visual development. Graphic design of the final images used in the movie: billboards, newspapers, signposting, screenshots, character icons, etc... including colour paintings and lettering.
- Graphic Design for Marketing Department: “ART OF PLANET 51” artbook style definition. Art & layout supervision. Cover design. Planet 51 Brand Style Guides and P51 product design. P51 poster design concepts.
♦ 2008-2009 FREELANCE ARTIST FOR TV & CINEMA COMMERCIALS:
- Lee Films, Miopia, TBWA: RENFE, "New times, new trains" (pop up book) commercial. Visual development, original design and all illustrations for 3D animated textures. Festival Iberoamericano de la Publicidad (Advertising Festival of Iberoamerica) FIAP 2009 Award: Best Art Direction, Creativity and Audiovisual Technology.
- Lee Films, YOUNG & RUBICAM: REPSOL YPF, "Let‘s invent the future" commercial. Visual development, original illustrations for the fake tattoos. Artist team coordination and supervising together with director Sergio “Sega” García. Final tattoo make-up assistance during shooting. Awarded by the Spanish Producers Association APCP 2009: Best Characterization
- Miopia, CUATRO TV: Corporate 2009 Spring/Summer Live action and 3D animation Promos. Visual development. Final frame art creating a surreal + cartoon world. Character design.
- Miopia, Diageo: BUCHANAN’s SCOTCH WHISKEY “Leave your mark” commercial for Mexico. Visual development and final art. Animation artist team coordination. Animation and “frame by frame” painting to give a hand painted (watercolour) look to the whole previously recorded live action film.
- Vida en Marte: 75th Anniversary ‘Festival de Teatro Clásico de Merida’ commercial. Traditional 2D animation and illustration.
- McCANN-ERICKSON: AENA (Spanish Airport Association). Storyboard and concept drawings.
- Genlock/Newton21: Visual development, character design and classical 2D animation.
